Tj help
I know it's a cherokee forum but I'm sure some of you know more than just xjs. Personally, I drive an xj, but my girlfriend recently adopted her sisters 2001 tj with the in-line 4 motor and manual tranamission. This morning when I was walking her out to her car I noticed a tube coming down from the bottom of her jeep hitting the ground. When I got down on the ground, pollen and all, I got a closer look. It didn't look beat up at all so I don't think it had been dangling around while she was driving much if at all. The tube itself is black rubbery material, kind of like transmission fluid lines, with a white cap on the end. I couldn't see where it was connected to but it was hanging down right beside the oil pan but it looked like it came from somewhere above the transfer case. Anyway, I managed to somewhat secure it laying on the skid plate so it wouldn't dangle on the ground anymore. So, should I be worried about it? Does anybody know what this is? Some kind of vent tube or something? Thank you.
