Tires etc...
Alright so i'm tired of my 30" mudkings, looking to step it up to 32-33"s my question is right now the 30s are on 15" stock rims, will those be good for say 32x11.50xR15 tires or 33x10.50xR15 ? Because at the moment i'm short on cash (as always really ha) and i would prefer to rock my stock rims for a bit longer (if possible). Also as far as purchasing new tires go what kind of suggestions do you guys have? my favorite tire is BFG's KM2 but depending on any deals i find i might not end up with those. Also my friend (who tends to be a bs'er) said that he knows of a store that sells used mud tires based upon their size. i.e. one 33inch tire = 33$ etc... So also have you ever heard of anything like this before? and if you have is it a good route to go? Like are used tires from a store like that most likely not going to hold up well? And finally, i saw a set of 31 dunlop mud rovers on craigs list last week, not my ideal choice but they were cheap, so have yall ever had these? any reviews etc..
thanks in advance. |
also, i should be able to clear 32-33s with my 3 inch lift and excessive trimming right? I don't do a whole lot of flexing etc. but i don't want any rubbing at turns so...

well you can fit 35's with no lift if you trim and bumpstop enough.
I dont see why you couldnt run those size tires on stock rims, might have backspacing issues but no biggy |

This is wht is going to hurt you with stock wheels, you need to find some wheels with at least 3.75" of BS, 3.5" would be better also depends on local laws as far as howwide past the body the tires can be.
you could also run some wheelspacers. but for the price if a good set of wheel spacers, you'd do just as well to get a set of black steeleys. 15x8 w/ 3.75ish backspacing should do ya, summit raciing sells the cragar soft 8's for around $50 a piece. and with 3" lift and "excessive trimming" 33's should be fine. |
