Did you trim before the bushwhackers were installed? If you trimmed sufficently then you might be OK but it is not guaranteed.

well i called rubicon express today and found out that they also offer a 7.5 long arm kit. Im just going to go with that instead of the 5.5. Also for my year xj bushwacker only offers cut out style fender flares so yes triming has been done. So do you think i will be able to clear 35s now

With that trimming, you probably could've cleared 35's with the 5.5" kit. You can definately clear them with the 7.5 but that's kinda high.

Personally I would have avoided going 7.5" to reduce rubbing issues. There are more areas rubbing occurs then just fenders.

If you want maximum articulation resulting is stuffing tires, your rear is going to have a sizable problem with 35's, if they are close to true in size when combined with Bushwackers. In front I suspect you may have issues with the pinch seam and probably the flare inner lips as well.

If stuffing isn't a concern, the 5.5" would provide a fair amount of flex before rubbing. Install properly sized bump stops and fender rubbing is managed. Additionally wheel offset, axle relocation, etc can be used to control rubbing while keeping the center of gravity lower.

i kno people with the 5.5 and they say it drives great on and off the street. so im figuring that i should still be able to drive the 7.5 on the street but im not counting on it to be my daily driver. And for 93xjli read the entire post before you respond, my fenders are already trimmed
