Default Thurst bearing size issue

I have a 2000 xj with the 4.0 I just got the engine back from the machine shop. It was bored .030 over, crank was in good shape and was only polished. I went to start to assemble the engine, all seemed good until the thrust bearing on the #3 main bearing cap. The thrust bearing is too wide and does not clear the crankshaft. I realize that this should fit tight, but it seems like the thrust bearing is almost 1/16 of an inch too wide. I did some research on the bearing #'s that were marked on the bearings ( the machine shop ordered the bearings and rings) and it seems to be the correct numbers for my application. I just wanted to see if I was missing something before I go back to the machine shop and make a fool of myself if I have. Thanks in advance
