Throttle Body problem

I went to the jy to get a throttle body off of a 4.0 to bore out to 62mm to put on my 1998 4.0 and after i got it home and bored out i noticed that there is no where to mount the MAP sensor on the throttle body I bored unlike my current throttle body which has the MAP sensor on the side, Is there a place I can relocate the MAP sensor or make this work or no?

Nope. Need one from 97+. You grabbed an older model, the MAP sensor connected via a vaccuum tube and sat on the firewall. The sensors are not interchangeable.

Okay thats what I figured, ill just make another trip when i get time this week in between classes, I hope this 62mm bored throttle body upgrade is worth it hahah

I installed one about a year ago, well worth it. I happen to have a 98 TB with all the sensors sitting in my parts pile, if you're interested I'll sell it dirt cheap.

Sorry I took so long to get back to ya man I've been pretty busy with school, but thanks for the offer but I figured out how to get the Pre 96 to work, I just drilled a hole in the side of the throttle body and put a piece of small diameter tubing matching the piece of tubing that comes out of the 98 style throttle body, jb welded the piece of steel tubing in it and mounted the sensor to it and everything works great I'm super impressed with the results of the 62mm throttle body bore, ill post of pick of my setup on here when i get some free time

Nice. I was looking at the differences between them and was wondering if something like that would work.

Yah since I had already bored it out I didn't feel like having to get a new throttle body and start from scratch so I rigged something up an surprisingly it worked
