A thief in the night... now my locks are toast. (and more!)

Hey folks, so I'm new to the board and all. I've spent a bit hunting around for electrical issues in old threads, but I think it might be best for me to explain what's going on, and then see if anyone has any suggestions.

I had a friendly neighborhood thief take a liking to my stereo (It was $80 new in 2002...) and liberate it from its metallic bonds. After seemingly gnawing through the wires, he's left me with some interesting electrical issues, basically, if it's on the inside of the jeep, and non-crucial, it's dead. Externally though, all of my lights work fine, as do my gauge lights.

Since the stereo theft, I've lost use of the following systems completely:
Power Locks (Hooray for manual.)
Dome Lights
Cigarette Lighter
Cruise Control

My power windows have also mysteriously stopped working, with the exception of the driver's side window, which is now really slow to operate and occasionally sticks - it's pretty much dead, I think. Another oddity, my Temp/ Orientation panel on the ceiling works.

So, how could all this be interrelated? I've looked at electronics schematics at the autozone site, and they don't make a lot of sense to me, although it does SEEM that the radio is on a circuit separate from all this.

So, I've got an awesome laundry list of stuff to fix, and I'm not sure where to start. I can follow instructions, but I'm definitely not a learned wrench turner. Is this something I can tackle, or am I going to be putting someone's kid through college by taking it to a garage?

I appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks.
Dave

have u checked the fuse panel when the bad guy cut your wires:thumbdown: he most likly used a knife cutting hot and grounds together blowing fuses also check in dash behind wear the radio used to be making sure he did not cut or yank apart any other wires back there.its aplace to start good luck

Thanks, I should have mentioned that. As of my last check, my fuses look fine.

From my cursory, newbie investigations... it looks like just the radio harness was destroyed. I was wondering if I were to procure a new harness, and attach it, could that fix the issue?

My sterio died a while back and so did my dome lights and more. As it turns out the sterio was tied into the interior light circuit. I'm guessing they used the raido curcuit for the amp under the back seat. I bumped up the fuse on the interior light curcuit to the same as the raido curcuit now all is fine

that brings me to wiring diagrams, did you find a reliable source for those?

I've found this:
http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm

But it has two different listings for a 92 Cherokee... so now I'm unsure as to which one to pay attention to...

Ugh. I want to fix this myself so I can learn, but this is so unclear.
