Temp sending unit

I had just recently replaced my 4.0 in my 95 cherokee with a 98 4.0. I swapped everything over from the 95 to the 98. All went well but not sure what to do with the temperature sending unit that was in the rear of the head. I would like to know what all options I have. Is it possible to connect the wire in with one of the wires that leads to the sender in the t-stat housing. Or is drilling and tapping the head the only option. Thanks

If you do a search on here there are some guys that bought a new t-stat housing with a extra threaded out let and added the sending unit there. Hope this was some help.
