Temp gauge bizarre - Which post to read?

Temp gauge bizarre - Which post to read?
Have new radiator (was leaking), new top hose (was leaking), water pump (kinda exploded), and thermostat (temp gauge showing hot). Temp gauge had been climbing above 210 at stops.
Now, when stopped at lights temp gauge climbs to 220, when stopped in traffic from accident yesterday, it shot up to red.
I cranked on the inside heat and it went down to 220. When driving 60 to 70 mph, it falls well below 210. No leaks, no burning smells.
What am I looking for to fix this? If there are prior posts on this, please send me that way. Thanks!
