everything but the driveshaft. you can use a front shaft from a xj with auto tranny or buy new from tom woods or elsewhere.

i run this kit with a front driveshaft from a 2001 xj.

The kits from various sources are pretty much the same unless you get the super short kit (which is not needed) so you may as well save some cash ond go with the one mudd suggests above.

MUDD, how much lift are you running on your XJ. The reason I ask is I was wondering how high you can be and still use a stock front XJ driveshaft with your SYE and have it be long enough. I have around 5.5-6" of lift on my Jeep.

4", sometimes 4.5" when i don't haul all that garbage back there. It seems to be long enough. I haven't actually checked though but will extend it and see this week when i work on it.

I think you could go as big as 5" and still run a stock front DS...Also when looking at the SYE make sure of which t-case you have. That kit mud linked is for the 231. If you have a 242 you will have to the the hack-n-tap sye.

i would use a cherokee front drive shaft. even if its to short or to long its only like 100 bucks at a shop to get it lengthened/shortened and balanced. thats a lot better than 300 for a gay tom woods

i wouldn't call it "gay". They make some of the best driveshafts out there.

If you value customer service, I wouldn't buy anything from PORC, no matter how cheap they are.

I would get the kit from AA

BTW, PORC is now banned from Pirate for their shoddy business practices. I think that should tell you everything you need to know about them.

Did pirate ban rusty's too? pirate is no better than any other forum. i dont consider them superior to any other.

i bought two things from them. both came within reasonable amount of time (sye : 5 days shock: 7 days). my friend bought the same sye and got it quicker. He screwed up the plastic gear piece by accident and called to see if he could get a replacement. they overnighted the piece at no charge. i dont see any problems with them. maybe others have but i haven't heard much negative about them.
