Smile sye install

I am going to be installing my sye kit this weekend its the advance adapters one. I know you can do it in the jeep but does it make it a lot easier to take it out and do it on a bench any advice would be helpful.

the instructions are very easy to follow. pulling the case made it way easier plus it was the first time i've ever done one. i think you "could" do it while still in the jeep, but i'd pull it.

I have done 1 in the Jeep and 1 on the bench. To be honest, if you don't need to switch out the input gear, doing it in the jeep is not very hard... you just are working from your back...

mine was done with the case still in the jeep. i was not the one doing the bulk of the work but i helped, and from what i saw and did it wasn't too bad. might be easier to do it on a bench, but some also might not want to have to pull the case and put it back in

I was just looking at the instructions and i was wondering do you need a press to press out the needle bearings in one of the sprockets or can you just use a hammer and a punch or something like that?
