Sway bar/suspension problems.

Ok guys, my steering has been a little sloppy lately so i went under the XJ and looked over some stuff and found that my sway bar mount bushings have a rather large gap between the sway bar and bushings. I have also been hearing a pop that sounds almost like a balljoint going out and i was wondering if that could be the culprit also. My lab wanted to help out i guess today also.

Since the bushing looks bad, I'd replace that and take it for a drive and see if the "pop" (noise) comes back. You can jack up the front end and give the tires a lift to see if there is play in them (ball joints). I haven't did it my self but I read a posting on ball joints and I believe thats one of the things you can do. But search for the post....I'm still new to the jeep scene.

I will try that. Thanks for the advice man.
