can an xj run on road with out the front sway bar,and what are the effects

Crappy handling, increased body roll . Not safe IMO

I was running no front swaybar for a while and it ran fine, would still be running without one but the stupid mechanic said i needed one for inspection...

Stock links will still reach with 3". The sway bar will be a little tilted down but you can use one of the old bushings and put two on the bottom if it bothers you.

ok thanks called auto zone they have them for 20 bucks,will use stock ones thanks,

Use an old bushing or a few washers to bring the bar up some.
