Default Swapping rears. Will a wrangler Dana 35, 3.07 fit my Dana 35, 3.55?

So my rear in my 90 XJ is shot and its definitly going to be way easier to swap the whole thing. Heres the question.. I found a Dana 35, 3.07 for $50.. Will this bolt directly in or am I opening a can of worms. My rear is a Dana 35, 3.55.

Can of worms. You are better off finding a C8.25 in a junk yard. The Wrangler 35 has a completely different mounting setup

X2 on the 8.25 they can be had for around $100-$150
You have to also get matching gears!
Front and rear have to be the same ratio. If front is 3.07 rear must be 3.07 as well.

x2 on disconecting abs and going with an 8.25. I did it on my '98 and my brakes work better than they did with abs d35 in the rear. Now if I could figure out how to reset the abs ecu to only read the front axles so the stupid light would go off! Could pull the bulb but thats to easy...
