Just want to give my .02 on this swap. Grabbed a JY valvecover and felpro gasket and grommets (I searched for blue gasket
)
Got the VC and all the lines and PCV fitting. I cut the airbox hose to fit, and BOOM, its done. I cant believe the lack of CCV on the Aluminum and the small vacuum line. I am happy its finished and no more leaks and oily air filters are in my future.
NOTES: just be careful with the gasket slipping because it doesnt have the alignment pins, other than that its super easy!

But the aluminum valve cover of the Renix is sharp looking. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for looks. Kidding. I replaced the gasket on my 90 couple months ago, no leaks. Also replaced the CCV tube while I was at it. No oil on the air filter. What am i missing?

Is this only 97+ or would say a 93 valve cover work. The 93 looks about the same as what I see in your photos. But I could be wrong, it has happened in the past. Guess I'll check when I get home.

Here is a quote from a different post.
They basically used four valve covers on 4.0 litres...
1987-1990-cast aluminum, had small holes for the CCV fittings-worst design IMO.
1991-1992-cast aluminum, had CCV fittings that had to be rotated 90*
1993-1995-cast aluminum, had large CCV fitting holes with full 90* bends in the elbows. *Best cast design.*
1996-2006(?)-stamped steel valve cover, retained same CCV fittings as the 93-95 style. Also had a ratcheting oil fill cap.*My favorite*

It got rid of my leak, and all the oil smells. I still have to verify the oil on the filter is solved, but judging by the baffle on the "new" cover it will verse the lack there of on the aluminum
