I am most likely gettin the safari rack for xmas and i want to know how much the light tabs cost and if they will mount to the sides. Also where do you bring the wiring in and how many lights can the jeep handle on the stock alternator.

I have the surco rack. the brackets are a rip off at 30.00. I bought them and went to mount them up and was like " why dont I just drill a hole in the rack to mount my lights" DUH!!!

Also the stock alternator is pretty juicy... Should be fine for a couple sets of hellas

yea dont buy the mounts. i just used that L shaped aluminum and mounted four lights on that then bolted it to the rack. waaayayyy cheaper. you can mount lights anywhere you want. I have four lights on front, two on my bumper and will be puting two more on the back of the rack. stock alternator and battery. seems to work just fine!!
