sub issue

Hey guys, weird issue going on with my Cherokee. Put it in oem tech because...idk, I just always seem to post here

Anyways, got a 500A 4ch amp hooked up to a 10" bazooka tube, and here recently the amp just won't start. Ie, turn key, red light comes on, but never goes green with the nice "fwoomp" of power going to the sub. What's interesting is, if i pull the fuses on the amp itself and insert them again, the green light comes on, and the sub works fine- untill I cut the vehicle off and therefore the remote cuts off. I am getting 12v to the amp, no resistance over the wiring to the sub, solid ground...is there something I'm missing? Also what kind of voltage should the remote be getting? Something tells me its a 5v switch, but I'm not 100%

Sorry for wall of text, but any help would be appreciated, including someone who knows their audio equipment who says "it's blown, get another" lol

I would check your remote wire from the head unit. It should give 12v when the radio turns on, this is the signal to the amp to turn on as well.

Simple. God is telling you to mount it on some remote island, doesn't want people shooting at you!

Oh no, the 40 series is wayy worse then the sub lol, the tube is perfect for me atleast, it adds a nice tight bass for the drums, I have the hpf set at like...70 something hz? 80? Anyways, its no gangsta bass lol

Ignorance. Just because lots of punks drive around with trashy sound systems cranked way up and tuned for way too much bass doesn't mean that subwoofers are only for loud, trashy systems. Subwoofers are the only way to produce a significant amount of sound frequencies that all music possesses, and they demand a relatively large amount of power in order to do their job, hence needing to be amplified. A well-rounded sound system needs a subwoofer and amplification for quality sound.
