Stutters after warmup....cylinder dropping out?
 

This problem just started after I changed my oil and spark plugs. Jeep runs fine in the morning on the way to work. Starts and runs fine when I leave work in the afternoon.
If I stop on my way home, at the store or to get gas, it stutters when I start it back up, almost as i've lost a cylinder. If I rev it over 1800-2000 rpm, it goes away......The only thing I can think of is a bad spark plug wire, as I didn't change those with the plugs...

Any ideas???

Could this be a sensor? Tps? Map?

Any ideas? Just did it to me again when I left for lunch......errrrr.....

No one has any possible solutions? I guess I'll try wires then.

I am experiencing a similar problem just less frequently and have some loss of power when accelerating up to about 30mph. I would definitely do the wires that could easily be at fault. Might want to check the plugs again (maybe the new ones were gaped wrong or maybe some arching is occurring). IAC or your O2 sensors could be at fault also.

Mine only happens after its good and warmed up, then shut off and restarted. If I hop in it in the morning and drive for an hour straight, no problem. I shut it off for 2 minutes to run in the store, stutters. I rev it past 2000 and drive for a few minutes, it's fine again.

Going to do wires and MAP cleaning in the morning.

I changed the wires and its seems to have fixed the problem. The wires that were on it were fairly new Accel 8.8's......remind me to never buy them again. Ill stick with my old standby, Magnacor 8 mm's. I prefer to support Michigan businesses anyway.

Alright, the problem is not totally gone but its not as bad as it was. Maybe the cap and rotor?

Also, is the map sensor cleanable or should I just buy a new unit?

Errrrrr, frustrated.....I'm a 12volt tech but ignition/drivability is not my forte......
