Stroker kit comarison-Golen vs. Mopar
I was able to talk with the Mopar guys regarding their 4.7L Stroked motor, and here is what the tech guy said in comparison to Golen.
Mopar has:
Hand selected, used block, cleaning etc. bored 40 over, girdle on mains, new 258 nadular crankshaft, connecting rods factory but resides, sealed power hypereutectic pistons, Seal power bearings, arp connecting rod bolts, Hastings rings, brand new heads, cylinder heads 202 intake valves, 1.6 exhaust valves, Rocker arms: roller style rocker. Everything is brand new except the block and rods.
He then said Golen is very similar but that Mopar has a bigger intake and exhaust valves, however he said Golen has a bigger camshaft. (SO WHICH IS BETTER??)
Both run 91 octane.
So, the Golen goes for about 2-3 hundred $$ less than the Mopar. Please chime in on which one you think is better you tech guru's. Thanks.

The bigger valves from what I can see, myself are kind pointless due to the design of head shrouding and such I will point out this is just my observation Ive yet to find anyone who has flow bench data to prove or disprove my theroy. I think the bigger cam would have more benefits. Just my $.02

Interesting. Yes, nothing against Mopar, but I've only found one article on this new stroker, but Golen has been tested and I've heard a ton of good things about them.
