Default Stock Tire mount hardware..help!

I have a 2000 cherokee and when I bought it the spare tire mount was missing the hardware. All I have is the metal threaded rod that sticks out from the side, and a small gray plastic cap. Does anyone out there know what hardware I need to mount the tire as it should be? I tried looking up pictures on google and couldnt find anything.. Thanks!!

I have a 97 and I have a black half round cone type washer that goes over the bolt with a large plastic wingnut to hold it all in place. If the plactic cap you are speaking of is the same as mine it simplycovers the end of the bolt once its all mounted. I would assume the dealer would have these parts.

X2 That info should be in your owners manual if something doesn't work out right.

That's really all there is. Put the wheel up against the window/side of the jeep. Thread the threaded rod through and tighten the wheel down with gray plastic cap.

You could probably make something out of wood too. No one would see it if you use a spare tire cover.
