stock swing out tire carrier
 

anyone deal with one of these? i got one and its makin all kinds of noise in the back so i wanna take it off, but not even sure where to start!

if you take it off send it to me. You take the piece for the latch on the tailgale off, then inside the panel on the right side of cargo area should be a reinforcment plate that the upper hinge bolts to, then unbolt it from them reinforced bumper part. Would be my guess

im gonna take it off i just dont know how good of shape its gonna be in once i get done. if its a real pain im just gonna break out the grinder and get to cuttin, but i will let you kno how it goes

Are you sure it's that making the noise and not the tailgate rattling (common issue)?

Mine dont rattle :)

Ill take itt after you get it off my rig already rattles a little more won't hurt me

okay guys hate to break it to yall but once i got the arm off the mount i saw an easy way to upgrade the stock hinge and take care of my rattle. sorry
