Stock suspension and 50 bucks for a 3in lift

I went looking for sheet metal for my floor pans and came home with a 3 inch lift for my stock parts and 50 bucks what Im trying to find out is do I need longer upper-lower control arms. Cause I dont think there are any with this kit I know I posted earlyer with a 3inch jy kit but I was stuck with all my stock crap. So I guess Im looking for any parts that I might need that I might overlook cause Im going through with this kit next weekend so all help is welcome.

Not knowing what kit you have I will list in importance things I think would be good to have,1. Adj track bar, longer shocks, adj control arms, the control arms you have will work but only if you have to use them. Track bar is a must.

Longer shocks are an absolute must at 3" of lift. Track bar is nice to have, but many many people have gotten away with just relocating the stock track bar at 3". Adjustable is the way to go if you have the $$, but it can be relocated at any lift up to about 3". Mine is at 4.25" in the front and I relocated it as far as I could and am close but not quite where I need to be. Still drives fine, but turns differently from left to right due to incorrect tracking. At 3" control arms are really just gravy, not needed at all but will help to give a more factory ride (who wants factory ride in lifted XJ???).

Cheers!

Ok I know Im getting 4 rancho shocks front springs and rear leaf pack. Ok how does one relocate the track bar is there a write up on this cause Im straped for cash thats why this was a good deal and adjust bars are a small fortune, plus I know where to get adjust upper lower control arms for like 40 bucks.

You can buy an adj track bar from rough country for about $80,you will get many opinions on this issue,so I will let someone else answer about relocation.

Not all 3" kits are the same. Mine was a Skyjacker. The springs were the same lingth as stock springs, so no new shocks were needed. Also if you relocate that track bar, there will be some bump steer. If those springs are stock length, as is the Rancho springs, just put them in and leave well enough alone and enjoy the lift. You will only need to do that other stuff if those springs are real long, and I doubt they are.

If the springs lifted the jeep 3", you really should get longer shocks.

If the springs are stock length, please explain why you think he should get longer shocks.

If the vehicle sits 3" higher than stock, then the shock mounts are 3" farther apart.

3" you can use stock arms but your front end alighnment will be off a bit but its not that big of an issue, hell RC doesnt even sell LCA's with there 3" kit. Maybe a longer brake line for the rear and relocate the front hard lines other than that your good.
