Stock Cam in a 95 xj
I'm looking at reworking my valve train and one of the things I'm hitting a wall on is deciding on the cam. All I'm looking for is stock. I'll be doing the lifters, push rods and distributor at the same time and I've been researching till my eyes bleed. I have a decent grasp on the numbers and what they mean, now I'm down to if the cams are made from steel or cast iron, and the quality of the beast.
Right now I'm looking at either sealed power or melling. What I would like to know is if anyone out there knows the product well enough to tell me if they are worth spending the money on and what material they are made from, or if I should look at a different brand all together.
And as an aside, does anyone know who manufactured the original cam?
Thank you in advance for your input.
