Stock all problem. I think.
I hope I put this question in the right place. ! I have 2 Dana 35 front axles. Now one is in the jeep it's a 99 xj. Now the spring pillars are just no good all rusted out. Now I have a replacement. Dana 35 Out of a 96. Xj. All looks like it will work. But the 96 hase the wheel studs in the rotor. And the 99 they are in the end of the axl shaft . Will this 96 axl work ? ? In my 99 xj. Any help will be great. Plus which set up is better. Thanks.

Dana 35 is a rear axle not front.
I will assume you meant a Dana 30 front axle. The 99 and 96 are the same. Are you sure the rotors have the wheel studs? Maybe the rotor is just fused to the wheel bearing? If the wheel studs truly are part of the rotor then thats a 2wd axle beam.

A 96 4wd D30 front axle (assuming you do mean D30) definitely does NOT have the wheel studs in the rotor, they are definitely in the axle hub.

Yes your right. I was wrong. I meant Dana 30. Front axl 4 wheel drive . Now. All Dana 30's have the wheel studs on the end of the axl. And it just looks like the studs are mounted on the rotor. ?

It's likely the rotor is just frozen to the hub bearing. Rust is a b1tch like that.
You can remove the whole hub/axle assembly out of your 99 on both sides and then take the 96 axle without the axle shafts and install it, then slide the hub/axle assemblies from your 99 right into the new axle.
