Default sticky tacho & speedo needles..a solution

All 3 of my '96 XJ have sticky tacho or speedo needles (or both)

rapping the plastic directly over the face gets them going

however, I have found (seemingly) a better solution

cleaned & lubricate the needles, and they work perfectly since

procedure; pull bezel, undo 4 alloy screws that hold the plastic, lube & clean the instruments, a drop of clock oil, clean the plastic

The aftermarket radio had a blown fuse in the rear, that is why I pulled the bezel, did this while I was in there

On my '96, the bezel did not withdraw easily, I tilted it back, and popped it out, under the dash, but the lower section bent on the steering column, to the extent I was worried it would snap
To get it back in, I will need to "force" it back in reverse order...I presume?...is there any tips?..I dont want it ( the bezel) to snap as I push it back in, just because I am an ignorant idiot
Adjusting the steering wheel til made no difference
