Default Steering, smoke, bad smell, help!

Well, i think i have an issue with my pwr steering because when i turn the wheel all the way to the left or right i begin to get a lot of smoke and bad smells, even though my engine coolant is at a good temp...

any help would be apprieciated

power steering fluid could be leaking/spraying out of a loose connection and burning off on the engine? I am not at all sure because I have not experienced it myself but it seems possible to me.

That could be it because mine has been doing that in the last few days. I have the pump out and ready to change it.

had this happen on my 99 as well, turned out to be the high pressure hose.... easy fix.
