Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone has done a steering column swap from a standard to a tilt. My concern is the wiring to the switches. My jeep is an 88 and the donor is a 90. If anyone can help please do and thanks in advance.

My friend just went through this and had some problems. For some reason they made like 4 or 5 different columns and the one/s he used started up the jeep fine but after letting off the key it would stall (after 2 different columns) it seems there is a switch somewhere in there that keeps it running so just be careful...I'm sure there are more experienced ppl on the forum that may be able to help...Tj

i think you'll be fine. i used the one from my 89 limited to my 90 pioneer.
everything works, but the cruise. but i do need to slightly turn my key to get accessory power sometimes.

Hi I'm having similar problems. My swap on a XJ I bought for a busted column. I used a mystery colum from a salvage yard... now the key turns it on but none of the cruise/turn signal/wipers switch will work! ugh. It was supposed to be the same year-ish. So yeah I'm stumped?
Any ideas?
