Steering Column (SC) problems

My 96 Cherokee was recently broken into and they tried steeling it. Good thing I have a kill switch, but the messed up my steering column. When the ignition is on, the wipers and wiper wash turn on and the left turn signal flashes so they did damage to the lever side of the SC.
1. I would first like to disconnect these wires so I can at least take it out and drive it on the trails. How do I do this?

2. Next, I would like to fix the problem. Would I need the internals of another SC to fix this problem or is there another way?

3. Oh and one more thing, before this ever happened my horn didnt work. I know the connections at the horn are made, but when I push the button on the SC I get nothing. Any ideas?

I really think it might be cheaper and easier for you to get a SC from a scrap yard,if you cant get one with a key make sure you have a locksmith around that can make a key from a mold.
