Starter help
 

Hey guys so my starter went out the other day, no big deal, but I realized that this is the 3rd time I've had to replace it in the past three years. So I was wondering if there was something else causing my starter to go bad. My jeeps a '96 with a bone stock engine. any insight would be much appreciated.

My first thought is where do you buy your starters? I never buy from the lowend chain stores after going thru 5 lifetime alternators in 10 days.

I bought the last one brand new from napa, the one before that was from a local shop.

If the starters are testing bad after they have been taken out of the car and tested ...If that is true ... how is the contact surface between the car and the starter?

what breaks on the starter? Is this an integrated solenoid/starter (forgot to look at your year)?
