Post Stalling Problem

My 1998 Cherokee Limited 4.0 has started stalling. After a few minutes it will restart but it takes pumping the throttle to restart. Suggestions of where to start searching? Thanks

Fuel pump? Does it happen more often when you're low on gas vs topped off?

Might want to check the pressure on the fuel rail. Easy and cheap to do. Many videos on how. Let us know.

Of course... check Cruiser54's mostly renix tips...
Clean grounding points are a MUST in these jeeps....
They're very sensitive, even though is sounds lame.

A lot of issues have been solved with a wire brush and some time. Also, it's free. Start there before worrying even about the pump.

My son described this problem to me so I asked the question before opening the hood. I found that the hose, large one, from air filter box to throttle body was disconnected. Could this have been the problem. To answer your response its happened with full tank and near empty. I haven't got it to repeat the problem yet. I'm just waiting to see now. I'll let you know. Thank you.

I'll checkout Cruiser54's. Grounding points, like battery and what else?

The one on the dipstick seems important. So does the firewall one. His "tips" also list what they accomplish. Also, might even want to add a few new ones. He has some info on his site on what to do. Cruiser54. Com

Cruiser54's tips are for RENIX Jeeps, not your '98.
