ss lug nuts
Waynerd asked about these. Got my interest. Anyone running ss lug nuts?
|
I have some like that I got off of EBay, they have been great so far.

Be sure to check the item most bought with the ss lug nuts. ANTI SEIZE. Use it and you should have no problems at all.

I never use antiseize on lugs, many manufacturers recommend not doing that.

Stainless steel will gall on plain steel. Lubricant is necessary. I am one of those that has been using anti seize for 25 years plus. Everything from bicycles to atv’s and automobiles. Never had a bolt or nut back out because of it. Not trying to argue. It’s probably not supposed to be used but myself and many others I know have used it with no adverse effects. As for the stainless lug nuts I don’t think they would work on aluminum wheels. As stated in one of the reviews conical bulge nuts are required. Notice the hex part of the nut is larger than the conical part. On bulge nuts the base is wider than the hex. I ok interseted whether anyone has tried them on aluminum wheels. I’ve been unsuccessful in finding any other solid stainless ones. I would have thought they would be a little more in demand. I suppose I have never had lug nuts rust anywhere other than the outside so maybe ones with a stainless cap would suffice. |
