SPRING PERCH
hello all
I am a new member and am trying to find a replacement front drivers side lower spring perch as mine has rusted out, I am the original owner of this 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport with 110k ml, its a great vehicle.
I have searched these forum threads and google but the results are confusing, if I can find the part my indi who takes care of major issues says he can weld on, (don't have a welder.. Yet)
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
Jeremy

You can check your local junkyard and they may be able to cut out enough of the metal that you need to be able to weld it in.
That may be pricey, of course.
The guy I use for frame welding (here in New England rust is prolific) would fabricate pieces when necessary - so maybe you can find a shop with the equipment and expertise to replace the rotted section of your perch.

Thanks Pat Henry
I have an Indi who can weld, I was told that there is an assembly that can be purchased to replace however I have only been able to find for the passenger side, if I can locate drivers side my much can cut off old one and weld on new, my mechanic has done this before ,but like me is old foggy and cant remember where he purchased replacement.
