Default spring compressors

im adding a 2" bb to my 3" do i really need to get a spring compressor i need to take the pitman arm off so im hoping to have enough of room to get the things in

i've changed springs twice with out a spring compressor, yes you can do it with out but its a pain if you dont undo much.
you'll need a big prybar and some C-clamp vise grips can be used to compress the springs. go for it!

you can rent compressors from autozone.

Just use spring compressors, it's much easier. I tried doing it on one side when installing my 2" spacers and it was annoying. I ended up using them anyway. It took about 15 minutes to do both sides with the compressors. Also, it's a lot easier to get them out than it is to put back when you have 2 inches less to cram the spring in.

If you take all your steering off the axle it will drop more than enough. I guess a spr compressor is prob easiest tho.
