Default Speedometer and Tachometer Problems

So today, after a full day and night of rain (it was cold this morning when I first experienced this) The speedometer and tachometer would randomly peg at 0 and then spring back to normal. It seems to only happen when its cold, and if I push on the dash in between the center console and to the right of the steering column (where that weird panel is for switches or something) it helps it spring back. I'm thinking loose wiring in the dash. Can someone confirm or help?

Sounds like the typical issue with the ip cluster connector. Try cleaning it good, tweaking the pins up slightly for better contact, and applying some dielectric grease to it to see if that helps.

You have to pull the cluster, they are on the backside.

remove the center dash panel, unclip the upper dash pad, and remove the 4 screws holding the instrument cluster, then gently pull the cluster towards you, till it unplugs.. make sure you unhook the battery before cleaning the plug pins, so u dont short out anything... reinstall in reverse of removal..
