I have been searching around the internet for a 27 tooth speedometer gear to correct my speedometer after I recently put bigger tires on. The options are $30-$60 new and about $20 used. Does anyone know any vehicles with the same long shaft speedometer gear for cable driven speedometer that has 27 tooth on the gear? I'm trying to see if I could get one from my local junkyard.

27-tooth puts you around 30" tires on 3.07 gearing. You're going to be hard pressed to find any Jeep that came stock with a 27-tooth at the junkyard.
I'd be thinking about regearing or swapping in some 3.55 axles from the junkyard myself. https://www.quadratec.com/c/referenc...ar-tooth-chart. My 89 came with a 30-tooth and 3.07 gearing and it was a bit of a dog, although it did get 23 mpg before I swapped in 4-cly (4.10 ratio) axles, lifted and put on 32s.
