Default Spectre filter

I got a new spectre air filter for my 95 cherokee not a cold air intake just the filter..has anyone noticed a difference with this filter in?

I cant tell you if theres a difference, but I plan on getting an AEM dryflow when I get the money...

So, I would like to know also..

yeah i put mine on but got rid of my air box and put it on to thr rubber intake hose. it helped out a bit. i felt a little more response think i got slightly better mpg too

i have the cone filter. It just lets ur jeep breathe a little better

Yeah I've got the cone filter too, in the stock location, with no lid. Throttle response improved ever so slightly, and MAYBE a tiny boost in mileage. It sure sounds cool though.

If you wanna increase your fuel economy and maybe add a couple ponies get your Spectre filter and modify your stock intake tube to accept it (by this I mean find a way to attach the vaccuum and ccv lines) then use some kind of inexpensive material to build a heat shield so your new filter draws cooler air from behind the headlight and not hot engine bay air. Also, you could consider relocating you intake air temperature sensor to the intake tube from the intake manifold. In the stock location it is very prone to heat soak, which can lean out the fuel delivery, hurting your mpgs. Heres HowlerGT's writeup...

This certainly impproved my mileage a tiny bit, about 1-2mpgs. And I haven't even gotten around to building the heat shield yet!
