Even though it sounds like a punk move, get spark plug wire pullers. I have a 99 with original wires and they were freaking welded to the plugs, spent a lot of time breaking wires and then getting them off the plugs.
Sorry I can't help out with distro, etc. but new plugs and wires will def. help.

X2 on this, I thought I would just change my plugs one afternoon, and ended up replacing my wires as well. Not that it didn't need to be done, just wasn't planning on doing then.

Default Spark plug types

Recently acquired a 2001 Cherokee, it is the third Jeep I've had (loved the others). Idle was rough but runs great otherwise, decided to start with plugs. Turns out that some fool installed Autolite plugs in there which I swapped out with the correct Mopar ones from the dealer - HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! People in the form aren't kidding about using the correct ones, idles smooth as a silk and power gained!! Hence my appreciation for this forum - there is a great deal of useful info here....
