The ignition switch and also auto shutdown relay are about the only thing both of these have in common. Make sure you have a ground on DK BLU/YELLOW wire that controls the shut down relay. Try to pull out the auto shut down relay and just put a jumper in between the Red and DK Grn/ Org wire and see if you now have voltage.

It does appear the ground is ran through the ECU. Get out your manual and check all of the grounds on your ecu. It shows about 3. I think you have a ground off somewhere. You are halfway to finding your problem though. Find the bad ground and it will probably start up. Have you done anything recently you might have disturbed a ground wire? It is possible you have a bad ECU that is not grounding that circuit but I doubt it. Check all you ground with your meter and make sure they are good grounds.

Huh that is a little odd. Like I said though check the grounds on the ECU. You got power when you grounded the relay so there is a problem there. You could try running new grounds temp. and try to start it and see if it will start.

I would check the grounds. You have power going to that relay so obviously it probably wasn't a switch problem. You ground the relay on its own and you have power. That is telling me the relay is not grounding. Find where the ground is missing and you will probably solve the problem.

Is the battery good? And is all the grounds in the engine bay on clean metal? check the 1 by the ECM that can get bad and cause issues. it also could be a bad ECM. I have a good friend that had ECM issues on his 95 and my 94 before I bought mine off him.

OK, wait a sec before you throw an ECU at it. The ASD is supposed to be grounded by the ECU for up to 2 sec, but usually 1 sec with key on, then shut off if no CKP signal is shown. Are you sure you are getting no power from the ASD for the first second of key on?
