Default Bogging down and cutting out

I have a 96 cherokee with the 4.0 in it. I took it out this weekend playing and it started bogging down hard when I put it in gear. After a while it would do it all the time and would die if I got it on an incline acting like it was vapor locking or just wet but I have plenty of fuel pressure and have dried the distributor out numerous time and still runs the same any help would be great

What do the plugs look like? Have you done any further diagnostics? What were you doing when the truck started to bog the first time?

It may be a failing fuel pump or clogged filter. Just because you have fuel pressure doesn't mean you've got enough, unless you've put a pressure gauge on it.

I just put the plugs in not that long ago less than 100 miles. The first time I noticed it I was climbing up a pretty steep hill. I havent done anymore looking yet. Was just glad to get it on the trailer. I forgot to mention I did a ce light once but it went off and the alternator no charging. So I don't know if that would be an ECU problem or just a sensor somewhere.

I'd pull a plug and look at it. That could be a huge clue as to whats causing it.

There is quite a bit that could be causing this issue. How are you confirming "good" fuel pressure?

I haven't put a gauge on it yet I'll pull a plug and put a pressure gauge on it tonight and see what it says. All I have done is open the shrader valve with a screw driver and it looked to me like there would be plenty of pressure.

I'd check and see what the plugs look like. That'll tell you alot about how the motor is running.
