Well i have had this clunking noise for awhile trying to narrow it down for awhile. well first when i get under my jeep and push up on the tranny and TC and it moves a little and squeaks so would this cause it. then my pinion bearings are bad so i thought it was it and bought a replacement JY axle and gonna put it in this weekend. My last question would the tranny and TC moving that little bit and squeaking cause this bad clunking noise when i take off and left turns.

 

When you take off, yes your driveline could cause a clunking noise. I had that up until yesterday when I put in a new polyurethane tranny mount. Now no more clunking on take off. But now I get a butt massage at idle with the prothane mount

Check your tranny mount and make sure it's in good shape. If that's not it, get on those pinion bearings, cause that could be the cause right there. I'm not sure if that will cure the clunking while turning. Where do you feel/hear it? I'd start at the axle ujoints for that issue

 

both axle u joints are good and it seems to come from like right under my seat where the TC and tranny are so thats what my guess is just wanted a second opinion on would it cause this noise

 

Have you checked the drive shaft splines? If the splines are dry it will give you a clunking noise when you take off and stop. Drop your drive shaft out and check the splines that go into transfer case, if they are dry use some heavy grease or some people use anti seize on the splines and then use a heavy zip tie on the rubber boot that goes around the shafts.

 

A failed engin mount as well as the trany mount can allow the tcase to bump the floor as the assembly torques.
