I use mine just for my driveway and a few neighbors (the ones I like) anything more and you would tear it up. Mine has a 5 speed, I put in 4 lo and plow in 2nd gear.

I just bought a 6' plow and winch up that I want to modify the mounting so that it will go on and off the front trailer hitch mount. Just for driveway work.

It it really only 7200? That's what my personal Ext Cab HD weighs, although there is a ton of crap in the toolbox.

What size blade are you running? and how does the truck react when you lift the plow?

Nice truck by the way

Its time here in Michigan for the snow to fall but not just yet to plow. I plowed last year but I cobbled the front suspension last year. This year I am going to do a budget build with 95 ZJ v8 front coils, moving my brake lines, and adding air suspension bags. The ZJ coils will give me my lift and the air bags will give me the support for the plow. Like I was saying I plowed last year and ran into a few issues but I plowed the whole season. I'll have to find a picture of last year with the plow attached. It will give you a laugh!

Big plow small vehicle....... Here it is:

I run a full size heavy western plow on mine. No problems and it works great! I custom made the mounts and welded them on the sub frames.

Im a newby to Jeeps and this site but fell in love and now modifying mine. I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport, over 160,000 miles with a 6' Meyer Plow. Purchased everything for $3,600 a couple years ago. The jeep is in great shape as it was always garaged and maintained well. I just purchased the Rough Country 3" lift Kit and was wondering if the plow needs any mods for it to attach and work the same. Also, i am looking for 31 x 10.5's tires for the jeep once its done. I have a 350 Chevy crate engine with 3000 miles on it for trade if anyone is interested.
