Recently replaced radiator, thermostat, and valve cover gasket in my 2000 Cherokee xj about a week later check engine light came on (small evap leak)
I'm guessing the valve cover gasket replace is where the problem started
since there were never any problems before. Jeep still runs great but at inspection time will have a problem. Is there anything I should check first?
LOVE my Jeep but won't pass emissions test in a few months

You probably have a Leak Detection Pump (LDP).
Examine all the vacuum tube connections to the LDP.
Some small leaks have been corrected by replacing the gas cap.
