Sloooooow window motors
All four of the windows on my XJ are very slow to roll up or down. They go eventually just at their own leisure. I didn't find anything right off that indicated this was common but was hoping someone here has experienced it and had a better fix than new regulators/motors.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Pull your door cards and lubricate your window track, where the bracket that's attached to the window rides and where the cable feeds. It should be a metal tube and the fuzzy cable that runs though the power window motor. It's open on the backside (side facing towards door skin) and you can bend the tube of a WD-40 lithium spray grease aerosol can to get into the back side of the track.
While you in there do all the lock and door latch linkages. You'll be surprised how much this will help everything. Especially the power door locks if you have them.

I'd also check that the felt channels look uniform in width all the way down. I'm not certain if the ones used on the XJ have a metal core to them like the ones I work with but if they do, the metal can rust and push out.
