I have replaced both the flasher relay and the multi function switch, neither of which corrected the problem. They work intermittently, and when I took the steering wheel covers off they started working briefly then stopped again.

 

Use a multimeter and confirm that you have 12v to the connector labeled 12 VOLT in the picture below.
