Default Side Trim Removed! Bumper Corners Painted!

Removed the faded side trim and then the glue with a rubber wheel. Then used Home Depot black bumper paint on the corners (which were almost white). Also painted the wiper arms (regular matte spray paint). I’m very pleased with the results.

Looks great. Idid the same thing on my 98. The bumper paint looks so much better than anything else I have tried. It lasts a couple of years and then you just do the same thing. I find it easier to clean and paint if they are off the Jeep. It'a s a pin the first time because of those rivet things that hold the center piece to the sides in the front. Once you take care of that, they are really easy to get off the next time(s). I have also found it useful to remove the rears and clean out the dirt and crud that sits in the metal bracket that holds the rear trim piece on.

Or you could get them Line-X'ed.

Agreed. I ended up drilling mine out and replacing them with stainless bolts. Same with the rivets on the center lower bumper trim. It makes it so much easier to deal with next time.
