just make sure thats what you want to do because you are really going to have to scuff them up to get the paint to stick.

no prob, I spend 4 hours scuffing the front skid plate,, some wheels that are clean wont be that hard.. lol,

Well I am partial to black but that may just be me.

BlueXJ 08-17-2008 01:34 AM

Black, man it's a Jeep not a Malibu.

muddeprived 08-17-2008 01:41 AM

Stay stock.

I say go black. If you get the rim paint from Advance or Auto Zone it holds up real well. I did mine gunmetal gray and there has been no chipping or flaking what so ever. Just my .02.

Belto 08-17-2008 07:54 PM

thanx guys, ill probably go black, but when thats an other question lol

okcjeeper 08-17-2008 08:05 PM

IMHO if you go black take it to a shop and have them powder coat them...rim paint is ok but IMHO powder coating will last longer and look way better..

aparently you dont know me very well, Im always on a budget, and I love to do things myself,, and well I have painted wheels before, and they have come good, but yeah I would love to have $100 for each wheel to powder coat them..

okcjeeper 08-17-2008 08:09 PM

That's expensive..I have a local shop I can use and he does rims at $20 a shot...and does some nice work...

Belto 08-17-2008 08:11 PM

thats the beauty of living in the states,, you have options, there is only one place here that powder coats in a 40 mile radius, and this is a 100x30 piece of land..

finneys98xj 08-17-2008 09:17 PM

I think they look better NOT black. The black in my opion makes them look stupid.
