What is the proper way to install these, ive bought a rough country 4.5 lift with normal shocks, when i took the old off i think if i remember correctly the nut on the top was sitting right on the rubber piece, but that doesnt seem correct to me.

Should have rubber on the nut and reverse side and there should be a washer to go between the nut and rubber on the top side.

 

alright, i had everything on there at first but i couldnt get the nut on the threads because of of all the rubber pieces and washers, but maybe the shock wasnt pushed all the way up from the bottem, its hard to do this with only one person haha ill try it again tomorrow

it goes, shock, washer dished down, bushing, (body/mount) bushing, washer dished up, nut. some shocks have the lower washer made into the shock. good luck.

use lube when pushing the mounting pins in for front lower and rear upper mounts.
