check your fluid level. Does it go back into drive by itself?

I have the same problem. But i know i have a tranny leak up front in one if my lines and whenever i stop hard it does it. Its just cuz my fluid is low. It actually just happened to me tonight, someone pulled out in front of me. But i agree check your fluid its probably low.

yeah it pops back into drive by itself, i do beleive it is the tranny fluid cuz i am leaking it everywhere i go :P not too much, just enough to mark my territory. what kinda of tranny fluid do i use to fill it back up?

Dextron 3,same as in your transfercase, which I would also make sure is full,Sometimes if the seal is bad between the trany and transfercase the fluid can drain into the transfercase,so I would just pull the plug and make sure the level is fine.

I have been running atf+4 but people on here say thats wrong. They say to use dexron 3 mercon which is the right fluid to use. I need to drain mine when the weather here gets warmer.
