sheet metal interchange
Have a 95, 4 door xj what year doors, fenders, hood, will interchange found cheap 89 how much can I use. I know its 97 and up are alike couldn't find how far back.

Sheetmetal -
1984-1996 will swap directly.
1997-2001 will swap directly.
People have also been known to put the front clip sheetmetal from the 1997-2001 on the 1984-1996 to "update the look" (I don't care for it - I like the boxy look!) so it's reasonably easy as well.
Most of the suspension and driveline should swap as well (save spline count issues on the transmission output shaft - early outputs are 21-spline, late outputs are 23-spline, and I think all four-cylinder outputs are 21-spline.)
