Inserting a dakota or s10 mainleaf (with eye's cut off) will give you between 2 and 3 in. Add a 2 in spacer in the front for say $60.00, will give you the room to clear 31's. You have to do the research and decide what you want. If your gonna go taller you should just save and buy a good 3in or 4.5 kit.

id say go for a decent 3.5 and 31s. that way you dont really need to regear and no SYE/cv driveshaft. that will save you some dough.

rough country 3 inch with a nitro shock upgrade and red shock boots. drop around 4-5 hundred and don't have to worry about anything. thats what i run. if you want 31's you will clear them. if you want 33's trim the fenders and you will most likely clear them. Don't forget to relocate the trac bar or one side will rub when at full turn.

yj brake hoses good for 3" lift all around.
yj passenger side e-brake cables good for extra length
bastard packs (mj,s10,dakota,etc) mated to your xj main leaf.
hockey puck bumpstop extensions in front and box tube bumpstop extensions in back.
