sending unit question

sending unit question
My fuel gauge has recently been sending false readings, just wondering how hard it is in a 98 XJ to swap the sending unit and what the job entails??

Dropping the tank. 96 and older can be done with the tank in, 97 they relocated the sending unit and fuel pump to the top so you have to drop it. Other than that, it's easy.
